Orders & Payment

Where is my order?

Once your order has been shipped, you will receive a shipping confirmation email with a tracking link. You can follow your order status directly via this link.

I need help placing an order

If you experience any difficulties during checkout, please contact our customer service team at support@itsbasicdenim.nl. We’ll be happy to assist you step by step.

I have not received an order confirmation – has my order been placed successfully?

Please check your spam/junk folder first. If you still cannot find the confirmation within an hour, contact our support team via support@itsbasicdenim.nl and we’ll verify your order.

My payment was refunded – what happens to my order?

If your payment is refunded, the order will automatically be cancelled. You can place a new order at any time through our webshop.

How can I change my order?

Once an order is confirmed, we begin processing it immediately to ensure fast delivery. For this reason, we cannot make changes. If you need a different item, please place a new order.

Where can I find my order number?

Your order number is included in the confirmation email you receive after placing an order.

What payment methods are accepted by It’s Basic?

We accept major payment methods such as Credit Card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express), Union Pay, Google Pay and Maestro.

Can I cancel my order?

Orders can only be cancelled before they are shipped. Please contact our customer service as soon as possible. If the order has already shipped, you can return it using our returns process.

Why isn’t my discount code working?

Check if the code is entered correctly, is still valid, and applies to the items in your cart. Some promotions exclude sale items. If it still doesn’t work, please contact our
support team.

Where can I download my order receipt?

You will receive your receipt as part of the order confirmation email. If you need another copy, please contact customer service via support@itsbasicdenim.nl.

Is it safe to order online?

Yes. Our website uses SSL encryption to ensure your personal data and payment details are protected. We partner only with secure and trusted payment providers.

Delivery & Shipping

Can I order from outside the Netherlands?

Yes, we ship internationally within Europe. During checkout, select your country to see the available shipping options and costs. Delivery times vary by location.

What happens if my order is returned to the sender?

If a package cannot be delivered and is returned to us, we will contact you by email.
You can choose to have it reshipped (additional shipping costs may apply) or receive a refund.

Which delivery partners does It’s Basic work with?

We work with reliable carriers such as PostNL, DHL, and DPD to ensure fast and safe delivery. The carrier depends on your shipping address and order size.

What are the delivery costs?

Delivery within the Netherlands is free of charge.
For orders outside the Netherlands, shipping costs depend on the destination country and will be shown at checkout.

Can I use a different shipping address than my billing address?

Yes, you can enter a separate shipping address during checkout. This is useful if you want your order delivered to your workplace or as a gift to someone else.

Returns & Exchanges

What is your return policy?

You can return items within 30 days of receipt, provided they are unworn, unwashed, and with original tags attached.

How do I return an item?

Use our Return Portal :

  1. Enter your postal code and track & trace number number
  2. Follow the instructions on the return portal

We currently don’t offer exchanges. Please return your item, and you’ll receive a full refund. You can then place a new order for the style or size you’d like instead.

How do I exchange an item?

At this time, direct exchanges are not possible. Please return the item and place a
new order for the correct size or color.

How do I return an order from outside the Netherlands?

International customers can return items at their own cost. Please use a trackable
shipping method and include the return form inside the package.

Where is my refund?

Once we have received and checked your return, your refund will be processed
within 5–10 business days to your original payment method.

Do you ship to the UK?

Yes, we ship to the UK. Please note that customs duties and VAT may apply for UK
orders.

Can I return items from multiple orders in one package?

Yes, as long as you include the return forms for each order inside the package.

I received a wrong or defective item – what should I do?

Please contact our customer service immediately with your order number and a
photo of the item. We will arrange a free return or replacement.

What are the costs to return an item?

Returns within the Netherlands are free of charge. For international returns, shipping
costs are the customer’s responsibility.

How do voucher returns work?

If you purchased with a voucher, the refund will be reissued as a new voucher. If part
of the order was paid with another method, that amount will be refunded accordingly.

How do I know what size to order?

Each product page includes a detailed sizing guide (marked with the ruler icon). You can check the measurements there and compare them with your own body measurements. Our Fit Guide page also explains how to measure correctly.

You’ll also see a Size Review Bar on every product. This bar is based on customer feedback and can help you gauge the fit:

  • If the bar leans toward Large, the item may run bigger than usual — you might consider sizing down.
  • If the bar leans toward Small, it may fit more snug — sizing up could be a better option.

You’ll also find explanations of rigid vs. stretch denim, so you can choose based on the structure, comfort, and feel you prefer. A quick look through the guide will help you shop more confidently and find the fits you’ll love most.

What fabrics are used in It’s Basic products?

Our products qualities from 100% cotton of the highest quality. They are also made
from high-quality cotton blends that often contain elastane to provide comfort and
flexibility. The detailed fabric composition is specified on each product page.

How do I care for my It’s Basic denim?

Wash inside out at 30°C with similar colors. Avoid using bleach or tumble drying. For
the best look and durability, wash your jeans as little as possible.

Our denim is sourced from certified fabric suppliers who hold internationally recognised standards, including GOTS, GRS, Recycled Blended Claim Standard, Organic Blended Content Standard, and BCI.

As It’s Basic, we are a SEDEX member, meaning our facilities undergo regular third-party audits focused on ethical working conditions and responsible sourcing.
